I've never had a problem with the live HBO channel in the DTVN app. From a quick glance, the on-demand library seems relatively complete, but I almost always use the HBO Go app for on-demand so I don't really know. Lots of people aren't thrilled with the Apple TV remote in general - I personally don't have that many issues with it.

I only have free HBO from my att unlimited plan. The only way to sign up is with my att login. My dtvn login is my att login so as far as I can tell there's no getting around it or creating a new account. I've tried contacting att and dtvn and they all just give me the runaround so at this point I think I need to just go into an att store
